Restaurant:
Must make a booking in advance, call our staff to reduce disappointment
Bar:
Yes, bar booking is recommended, especially on the weekend; however, we do take walk-ins if space is available.
For groups of 6 - 12 people, please secure a reservation via our website.
For larger gatherings, please speak to our friendly reservation team at enquiries@stratomelbourne.com.au.
Please let us know if you’re running late, as we can only hold your table for 15 minutes without any communication.
Please call us at (+613) 7003 8104 to inform us of any delays.
All bookings at Strato have a two-hour sitting time from your reservation time.
If we haven’t heard from you within 15 minutes of your booking time, your table may be released to walk-in guests.
We understand that plans can change. If you need to modify or cancel your booking, please do so via your confirmation email or contact our team at least 3 hours before your reservation time to avoid a cancellation fee of AUD $50.00 per person.

Yes, a 10% surcharge applies to all reservations on Sundays, and a 15% surcharge applies on Public Holidays.

Strato Melbourne is located on the rooftop of Oakwood Premier Melbourne, near the Southbank arts and dining precinct.

Enter through the main entrance of Oakwood Premier Melbourne.
Select Level 40 on the main guest elevator on your left as you walk in.
If you're unsure, the concierge desk on your right will be happy to assist.
Due to liquor licensing regulations, we’re unable to offer a BYO (Bring Your Own) service anywhere within the venue. Similarly, any alcohol purchased on-site must be consumed on the premises and cannot be taken away.
We appreciate your understanding and compliance with these requirements.
Menu items from our ‘bar snacks’ can be enjoyed in our bar from any table. All other menu items are only available during our standard kitchen operating hours.
In our restaurant, you can experience an array of dishes from across our menu selected by our chef.
The minimum party size is two people.
We cater for all dietary requirements and appreciate your understanding that the a la carte menu is unavailable for larger groups (over 6 guests).
All seating allocations are on chairs or on banquette seating. All reservations are set for two hours.
Please note that the last seating time for dinner is 9:00 pm, and we cannot accommodate late arrivals after 9:15 pm.
At Strato Melbourne, we’re proud to support the local Australian producers by sourcing seasonal ingredients wherever possible, including premium produce from regions such as King Island and Mount Zero. These locally grown produce is thoughtfully featured across our modern Australian menu.
We’re also committed to reducing our environmental impact. Where possible, we’ve replaced plastic with 100% biodegradable bamboo-based alternatives, and we continue to explore more sustainable options throughout our operations.

Strato bar is an 18+ only venue, and we cannot permit entry of minors, even when accompanied by an adult or guardian.
Strato restaurant is open to all guests aged 12+ for dinner and lunch service.
Please note that no meal size or price reductions are available for children; all guests, no matter their age, reserve a seat and menu as described and priced.
In the bar, our website welcomes reservations up to a maximum of 12 guests in one booking.
Our restaurant accepts a maximum of 8 guests in one booking.
For both the bar and restaurant, if your group size is larger than those mentioned above, our events team would be delighted to discuss our function spaces for you and your guests to consider

In both the bar and restaurant, the dress code is smart casual.
We request that you dress in a minimum of smart to business attire for your booking.
Thongs, tracksuits, sportswear, or any clothing with offensive language on it will not be permitted.
Our management reserves the right to deny entrance to guests who may not be wearing suitable attire.
In adherence with Victoria’s Food Standards Code, Strato Melbourne only accepts assistance animals in our venue.
Guests are only permitted to smoke or vape in our enclosed smoking area, which is accessible via our outdoor balcony on level 40.
The remainder of our outdoor balcony is a smoking/vape-free area.
In the instance where our main bar area has been reserved for a private event, guests will be asked to exit the building via the ground level to smoke or vape.
For guests driving to Strato, there is a ‘Care Park’ conveniently located across the road from the Oakwood Premier Melbourne building (11-31 Montague Street, South Wharf, entry from Munro Street) This is subject to availability. Should your booking have a reservation time, we encourage you to allow up to 15 minutes to secure a car park and make your way to Strato Melbourne.
Yes, our Strato bar balcony offers comfortable outdoor seating for up to 5 guests, providing the perfect spot to enjoy a Melbourne sunset from 40 floors above the city.
Outdoor bookings are for a two-hour sitting, after which we kindly ask that the table be made available for the next guests.
While we do our best to accommodate preferences, specific seating requests (including window seats) are not guaranteed and are at the venue’s discretion.
Please note: in the event of inclement weather, we will make every effort to relocate your party; however, indoor seating cannot be guaranteed.
We can cater to most dietary requirements if given advanced notice.

Strato Melbourne cannot guarantee that dietary requirements can be catered for if not notified 24 hours before dining.
The venue will take every reasonable action to ensure guests with dietary allergies are catered for appropriately, but cannot be held responsible should exposure to a particular allergen occur.

We’d be delighted to help make your celebration memorable, with a stunning venue and panoramic views as your backdrop.
If you’d like to bring a celebration cake, you’re more than welcome to do so. A cakeage fee of AUD $5.00 per person applies, and we kindly ask that you notify our team when making your booking.
Please note that external decorations such as balloons, signage, confetti, or party props are not permitted in public areas of the venue. These are only allowed when a private space has been reserved.
Strato Melbourne upholds the principles of Responsible Service of Alcohol, in line with the Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation.
We reserve the right to:
- Refuse service to anyone suspected of being under 18.
- Refuse service to anyone showing signs of intoxication.
- Remove offending guest/s from the premises or close the venue entirely.
